(Source: Merseyside Police) Merseyside Police can confirm that five men have today been sentenced to 98 years following an extensive operation targeting serious and organised crime in the Toxteth area of Liverpool. In total 45 people have been sentenced to more than 241 years in prison as a result of the extensive police activity. During the operation officers recovered six firearms (including two machine pistols) and drugs including heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis with a total estimated street value of £3m (Class A drugs worth £2m and Class B drugs worth £1m).
