By of the Journal Sentinel Assurant Health, a health insurance company that employs 1,200 people in Milwaukee, will be out of business by the end of next year. Assurant Inc., its parent company, announced Thursday that it is exiting the health insurance market. It also said it had reached an agreement to sell certain business lines and assets to National General Holdings Corp. The announcement comes after Assurant Health lost $84 million in its first quarter, which ended March 31.
