Authorities in Winnebago County seized 500 pounds of marijuana from a home in the Town of Vinland, the largest pot bust in the county's history, Wednesday. Gerald W. Walters, 64, was charged Tuesday with one count of manufacturing or delivering more than 10,000 grams of marijuana, according to a story posted on the newspaper's website. Authorities seized 43 pounds of cut marijuana and 475 marijuana plants. The stash would be worth $500,000 to $1.5 million, depending on quality, and investigators determined the quality of the marijuana found on Walters' property to be fairly high, the newspaper reported. | June 10, 2015 8:03 p.m. By of the Journal Sentinel Could...
